WhisperBatch privacy policy

This policy covers the WhisperBatch Mac app offered by Best Price LC.

Recordings and transcripts

WhisperBatch processes recordings locally on your Mac. It does not upload your recordings or transcripts to Best Price LC or a transcription service. You choose the files the app can access and where to save exported transcripts. Files you place in a cloud-synced folder may be synced by that service according to your own settings.

Downloads and local settings

The app downloads transcription models from Hugging Face. These requests disclose ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and the requested model, to the download provider. Its handling of that information is described in Hugging Face’s privacy policy. Once a model is downloaded and prepared, transcription can run offline.

WhisperBatch stores settings and downloaded models on your Mac. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics tracking.

Support and purchases

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include so we can respond to your request. You do not need to send recordings or transcripts for support.

Apple handles Mac App Store purchases and any diagnostics you choose to share through Apple’s services under Apple’s privacy policy. WhisperBatch does not receive your payment card details.
